Cold Porcelain Floral Jewelry

After working with bread dough for over 22 years, I found that I really enjoyed creating floral jewelry with cold porcelain during the past year. It's light, durable, and can be formed into many shapes and is soooooooooo easy to pack up for a show!!!!

End of the Year Reflections

What a busy year......our 50th anniversary year! It's been filled with family reunions, traveling, lots of pictures, a few craft shows and best of all, a formal Christmas family photo session so that the memories will always be with us!

Our oldest granddaughter graduated from the University of South Carolina in May. We traveled there for her graduation and then headed West to do the touristy things that we had always read about........Old Faithful, Mt. Rushmore, the Grand Tetons, etc. etc. dodging tornados and flooding all the way to and from!

I did see the young man from Africa in November and was able to buy a beautiful wire and bead chicken that he had created, which now resides with the lizard that I bought last year.

I was fortunate enough to be able to raise enough money from a percentage of my sales this year to donate to the SmileTrain.org so that two children with cleft lips and palates could receive free surgeries to correct their problems. What a great feeling it was to mail off that check! The promise was that an anonymous donor would match monies raised so hopefully, four children somewhere in the world will be helped.

The New Year has brought an invitation to show my work in a gift shop that is close by which is exciting! My wish is that it also brings hope, health, healing, love and prosperity to everyone!
