April 8, 2008........Sunny, warm and a great day to be outside!
A week ago, the Hudson Valley Artisans Guild had a program called "Connections" in which local store owners were invited to our meeting to see what we all create and for us to make the connections that we want for consignment or wholesaling our work. The result of that meeting, for me, are three new stores that I'll be consigning to. It will be interesting to see what the results turn out to be as far as sales are concerned. I'm not crazy about consignment but since we aren't doing a lot of traveling to shows any longer, this will keep me as busy as I want to be ........for now.

April 1st..........Our "teaser" day
At last, a warm day here in the Northeast! It seems to have been a long time coming. Today is cooler and windy but that's okay......we now have hopes that warmer weather is right around the corner!
Our 50th anniversary was spent in western New York with family who were there with us 50 years ago when we were married. Fifty years..........it doesn't seem possible! We have a lifetime of experiences and memories to sustain us for many more!
The downside of our trip West was that we drove into a snowy scene once again after being glad to have it all leave our area. The upside was being with family and then coming home traveling a different route so that we were able to change the routine and see some beautiful scenery. We traveled along Route 6 in Pennsylvania which follows the Susquehanna River for a great distance, the route called "Warriors March" which commemorates General Sullivan's march to eradicate the Indians during theRevolutionary War. I wish that I had known that it was a historic area and knew a little about the history of his march before following the road East.
I have to get back to the busyness of my business and start creating again. I will be consigning to a new gift store this week and have a small show on the 19th of April. I need that to jumpstart my enthusiasm for continuing on....................
